Hi all, There was some talk a while back on what Loma Linda was looking for in applicants. I just received an email from their admissions stating that they are looking for at least 19's in each area if not at least a 20 in every area. GPA needs to be around 3.5. Hope this clears it up for everyone who was wondering what exactly makes a "competitive applicant to LLU".

i am confused.

is that before you get the secondary packet or to get an interview?
so even if i get supp materials from them, if i don't have those numbers.
it's less likely that i am gonna get an interveiw???

From what I understand by talking with them, they do not automatically issue a secondary upon reciept of the AADSAS application as many schools do. They won't issue a secondary application unless you meet the qualifications (individual sections of the DAT a minimum of 19-20, although I had a 16 on the QR and that didn't seem to bother them). So If you don't meet the specific DAT cutoffs, you will get a rejection with no secondary. If you receive a secondary, you have passed the initial review and I guess from there your secondary will be reviewed by the adcom for interview invites.

All I really know is what they told me which is that you need a 19-20 on the individual scores.

well. i have 18 RC and 18 BIO. and i received supp app.
i guess we'll see what happens after i submit them then,
