I am about to finish up my MS in Gerontology and before starting a PhD program in Neuroscience I need to gain some lab experience. I have research experience, lots of clinical experience, and am working on getting published soon, I just don't have the lab part down yet.
Anyways, I was hoping to be able to e-mail professors at the schools I'm interested in to find someone willing to hire me, but it's not panning out so well unfortunately. Part of the problem is that I have pretty specific interests, in that I really want to work with someone doing research on Alzheimer's. If anyone reading this has any advice for me I'd greatly appreciate it.
