I'm currently finishing my second year of college, and I'll be looking to apply to pharm schools for next year. I'm unsure as to how I would fare in getting into pharmacy school. I have about a 3.5 overall and a 93% on the PCAT. However, I don't really have any extracurricular activities. Should I volunteer or work in a pharmacy or something of the sort? I have all of this summer to do that, or anything else.

Also, when is the application cycle for fall 2007 semester starting? I just want to apply as early as possible. I'm actually planning on completing a biology course, a lab, and some electives for this year's fall semester. Should I apply before completing these courses, or just wait until late December 2006 to send my applications?

And, do many schools offer interview by phone? I live in New York, and it's kind of difficult to get interviewed in schools in Florida, but I will if it's necessary.

Anyway, if anyone who is applying or going to SUNY Buffalo for pharm give me some school-specific advice, that would be great.

first of all, i didnt do much extracurrics, but i still got in. regarding the application cycle, look at the pharmcas website. maybe they'll let you start not it now.... also, you can just put in your courses section of your pharmcas that you are planning to take those courses. im not so sure about waiting until dec 2006 to apply since some schools have (or claim to have) rolling admissions. finally, i never heard of phone interviews. those actually exist? :O

Thanks for your reply. Yeah, I was reading the interview comments and I believe...one of the conneticut schools did a phone interview. But I guess this means I shouldn't bet on it. =P
