I'm a Florida resident, graduating High School this June, and so far my basic plan is this- Attend the nearby (and relatively cheap) community college for 2 years to get all of my basic classes, transfer to a University for the next 2 years to get my more advanced credits, and then apply to University of Florida for Veterinarian School.
What I worry about is UF frowning upon my time spent at a community college. Do you think this will be an issue? What classes should I take while attending college? I'm going to go ahead and apply to UF for Veterinarian School, so should I just apply there for my 2 years of University time as well?
I am also going to start up a support club for aspiring veterinarians, which will not only provide me and other with great emotional support as we reach our goal, but also with Veterinarian experiance opportunities (Having gone through a Veterinarian Assisting class for two years, I have a few connections to farms and Veterinarians that would likely be willing to provide us with experiances) I'm thinking this will also look good on my application, which is a plus. 😉
