So I have interviewed at my first two schools and I felt good, but not great about the interviews. I haven't heard back yet from either and I'm still worried about my chances. I feel good about myself as an applicant, 503 MCAT 3.7 cGPA 3.62 sGPA plenty of clinical/non-clinical work. The main things that worry me are getting Cs in Ochem (no other Cs on my transcript) and late dropping 2 classes. However, I got 4 IIs from 6 secondaries, and I haven't heard back from the other two schools so there's a chance I could get 5 IIs from 6 secondaries.

Basically, will those warts in my application hold me back from getting accepted or does getting 4 of 6 IIs show that those warts aren't as bad as I think they are?

Getting invited to interview means medical schools are interested in you and also your warts. As long as you can explain why you have your warts, and what you've learned from your warts, you are good to go.

If there is one thing I have learned from this cycle, it is that you can't predict how you did on your interviews. Just relax. Don't think about your interviews, and don't think about your warts.

I couldn't agree more. I thought I rocked my ARCOM interview, but was rejected yesterday.

The interview process is like trying to determine what a "catch" is in the NFL. Honestly, no one knows. 🤣

Oh boy the SDN neuroticism is so real. M8, you've got 4 II from 6 secondaries. If that doesnt tell you something about the strength of your app idk what will. I had ~28 secondaries and received 3 II. Comparatively, you're in fantastic shape.

Remember the saying "interviews three, a doctor you'll be."
I mean there are always exceptions to the saying, but LizzyM started a thread on the validity of that saying and it seemed pretty legit (of course the sdn sample is a bit biased)

If you're really that worried, apply to a few more schools.

Good luck to you OP

I had ~6IIs, went to 4 and was accepted to every one of them. I think you're safe. To the poster above, there is a very real way to judge how you did in your interview, believe me. The thing that you cannot measure, however, is how likely that will work in conjunction with your application when it comes to sending out acceptances. Some interviews may be harder to judge than others, but all in all I can honestly say my interviews went very well because of how we talked and the things we talked about. It was good.
