Hey guys,
I am applying this year and have a LOR dilemma. I am getting a letter from a rads, IM and a peds attending. However, when I met my peds attending for my LOR, I just was not convinced that she would write me a good letter. I am feeling uncomfortable using her letter. My other choice for a very good letter is from my neurology attending. Do you think it would be ok for me to have a rads, IM and neuro letter? I am just asking because I have heard that IM/peds/surgery letters are better.
Thanks!

Get whoever you think will write you the best letters. My main three letters were rads research/FM/peds and it didn't make one bit of difference because they were good letters.

Absolutely get a neuro letter. If you have a gut feeling that the peds letter will look bad, you need another option. Remember that on ERAS you can decide which letter to send later on. It's better to have more than you need and use the ones you think are the best. During your 4th year rotations/research electives you can also ask for letters. Good luck!

Get them all. Sometimes your school will glance over your letters and tell you whether one is good or not. I was not so lucky (but thankfully had good letters), but a lot of student affairs offices will do this.
