How do we get good LoRs from attendings during our electives? I'm currently in an elective and I just shadow the resident, with barely any attending interaction. Is there anything specific I should be doing?

You could always let the resident know your goal of getting a letter and see what their recommendation is for how you can get more one-on-one time with the attending

Look for a research project, poster, etc. Alternatively, do some studying for the subspecialty you're stationed in. If you get some pimp questions correct, it looks really good. You might end up knowing more than the resident if they're a first year. Downside is the resident could look bad (but they've already matched, so who cares).
