Dear guys,
I will apply for rehab this year.
All of my LORs are specialty specific. I mean the authors mentioned that I will apply for only rehab.
However, I need to apply for preliminary year in internal medicine and general surgery.
Do I need different LORs?
Thanks in advance

Generally, you’ll be fine with just the PM&R letters. Most prelim/TY programs are OK with this. However, there may be a few scattered prelim IM programs that specifically require an IM letter. Likewise a gen surg letter for prelim surgery. Check w/ each program individually.

getting mulyiple LORs for program specif letters is a hassle. I would just stick with the primary specialty (PMR) letters. Everyone doing prelim / TY is in the same boat, doing something else other than medicine...😀
