I am getting a letter of recommendation from my research mentor and I will be getting it signed by my PI. I'm using interfolio and I'm really confused. Do I send the request to my mentor or to him or something else? Thanks!

What will need to happen is that you need to send the letter request to the mentor who will then need to send it over to the PI to provide a digital signature on the document. The PI can then send it back over to the mentor who can then submit it.

Okay so on the request I fill out, I put her name?

Yes I would as she is the letter writer. But make sure you give them clear instructions as this can get confusing .

So wait, she would send the actual request I sent through interfolio or just her completed letter?

When you send a request to letter writer through interfolio they receive directions on how to submit the final letter into the system. What I was saying is that prior to her submitting to interfolio she would need to have the PI sign the document as well before submitting.

And would she sign it as well? I apologize for all my questions lol. I really appreciate your help.
