LOR information requested by Prof

My prof who is writing me a LOR wants me to turn in some "letter" or something that has info about me on it. She was pretty vague about what she wanted, and I can't seem to figure out what would be important things to mention (I mean besides my GPA and stuff, obviously). any thoughts?

well i have had recs from two extremes...
one prof said he needs nothing from me to write the rec and another prof asked for resume, personal statement, transcript and why I want to become a doctor which is kind of like my personal statement

Your letter writer is trying to be nice to you by trying to learn more about you before writing your letter. When I applied, I gave each of my LOR writers a copy of my completed AMCAS application so that they would know my educational and work background, my hobbies, why I wanted to pursue medicine, and what I was specifically looking for in a school.

I would suggest giving your professor a resume at the very least. Print off copies of your personal statement and work/activities list for them if at all possible. If they don't want that much information, they'll toss it. If they do, you'll end up with a better letter because of it.

The only thing is that I just asked him 2 days ago and he wants the information tomorrow. And (as I mentioned on another thread), I had to ask him for a LOR this early even though I'm not applying for another year because he might be taking some time off for personal reasons, so I don't have my PS and stuff done.

I was thinking about printing out my resume, listing my e.c.s (and describing them in detail), and writing a little about why I want to go into medicine and giving him that. I just can't figure out what else he'll need.

I'm pretty confused because the last time I had to do this was for u.g. admission and my teachers that wrote me LOR knew everything already so I didn't need to give them anything really.

That sounds pretty good. Some schools/departments have a form of sorts that one can fill out, but I can't imagine that it would ask for other information than what you're providing. Just make sure that your prof can get in contact with you if he needs more information and you should be golden.
