So the director physician at the clinic where i work as a lab tech said I could write my own letter of rec and that he would add some personal comments ( I work with him everyday and shadowed him) and then sign it. I guess I feel the freedom is daunting cuz there's so much i want to say. Any suggestions? what would jump out at you if you were an Adcomm member. also, do you think there's anything wrong with me writing my own LOR? I mean, the doc says he'd read it and make sure he agreed with everything (and he would) before signing it, so . . .
Thanks all!

Seriously though, I had the same issue and I actually didn't even bother writing one and having him edit it and sign it.

I figured if he wasn't even going to take time to write it, it either means he's 1) uncomfortable writing about it to begin with but doesn't want to say no
2) really isn't that enthusiastic about it even if he was willing.
