LOR questions! :D

1. Does the Dean letter count as a LOR for residency?

2. MODS doesn't say there is a minimum of letters...it only says there is a maximum (4).. I know folk legends say the "minimum" is 3, but I don't buy it...

3. 1 deans letter, 2 LOR from physicians = good enough?

everyone gets a dean's letter. Then you need 3 LOR's.

You only need 2 letters, that's how many I applied with last year and I matched my number 1 choice. Deans letter does not count as a letter of recommendation, its a document that describes your performance in medical school to help give your grades context.

Letters don't need to be from someone in the military, but at least 1 has to be from someone in the field you are applying to.
