LOR recommending neuro for prelim position??

I was wondering if i can use the same LOR that recommends me for neurology to apply for preliminary medicine positions ? would it be useful or useless?

Yes, you can use letters geared toward advanced specialties for prelim years. Prelim programs accept this and deal with it all the time.
