This application cycle is not looking good for me right now, so I'm planning to reapply this upcoming year. I finished up an internship a month ago and my supervisor said that he and my co-workers really enjoyed having me and had nothing but positive things to say about me. I worked closely with him for about 3 months and it seems like he would be able to write about my character in a LOR.
While I still have around 13 schools to hear back from, should I ask my supervisor to write me a LOR? Should I just say that I AM reapplying and leave out the part where I might actually get in somewhere (hopefully) and not even use his letter?
Also, my "old" letters will probably be around a year old by the time I submit my AMCAS app in June. Should I get new ones even though my relationship with them hasn't changed in the meantime? I can update them on what I've been up to, but what's the point if they just regurgitate it on the LOR?
Thanks in advance!
