Letter of recommendation should be confidential since u waive your right to read it. So I believe you should ask the writer to make it confidential and whether you send it to AADSAS or dental school directly it's better to have it confidential.
Well, in my opinion it seems like a letter that you waived you right to read would carry more weight, the reason I say this is because the committee may feel that you had some influence in some way or another. I'm not saying that this is always the case, but If I were sitting on a committee and two letters came before me, and the one person waived the right to read it, it would seem like that was a more honest evalution of him/her. My advice is that if you can't decide to waive you right or not, you should ask someone else to write the letter/letters. You want to make sure that it is one part of your application that is great, it makes a huge difference!!! 🙂
