    Is it ok to get a LOR from a intro physics course ? One of the instructors teaching it is the head of the dept, but he is not the leading (main) instructor? What do you people think? Intro yes or no? Dean or main instructor? THANKS A LOT!

    Whoever knows you the best and can write something other than "this person is pretty smart and got an A in my class."

    Yea, as long as they know you well, and are a professor (not TA), it should be fine.
