To my knowledge, Interfolio will attach my AACOMAS-ID to all my LORs when sending them to the individual medical schools, correct?

I didn't tell any of my letter writers my AACOMAS-ID, which means that none of them included an ID on the physical letter itself. But if Interfolio attached AACOMAS-ID to all my letters, will that meet the schools requirement that my AACOMAS-ID must appear on all LORs?

My LOR writers didn't have my ID. You type it in on Interfolio and then it's done

Great to hear!

But I've been hearing of certain DO schools that explicitly require your LOR writers write your ID on the letter; for them, they don't accept Interfolio's way of including AACOMAS ID to each letter.

Is this true?

I never heard that and don't know why they would ask you to. I would check your secondaries as it should be included there

Some schools require that the AACOMAS ID number must be on the front page of the letter. Does the cover page provided by Interfolio with AACOMAS ID count?

I am sure that is what they mean. A lot of people get letters before starting the application and there is no what to know the ID number then.

I think I know. DO schools accept letters sent directly by the letter writers, and in those case, the letter writers must write in the AACOMAS ID number. But if we send letters through Interfolio, the service can add a cover sheet with the AACOMAS ID number. In either case, the ID has to be included with the letter.

The ID only has to be included with interfolio, that's it. Period. I did not give any of my writers my ID and the schools obviously got the letters with no problem

Did you apply to CCOM/MWU and AZCOM/MWU?

No. But the people who wrote my letters have been writing them for years. If they needed the ID they would have asked

Got it. You mind sharing how many schools you applied to overall?

Four. I applied late and didn't want to waste my money

No, I had average stats and applied in February. The school that accepted me liked my essays and I rocked my interview. I would say applying broadly and early would be a lot smarter than what I did, but I was held up by LORs

What were your stats, if you don't mind sharing?
