LORs for Summer Research Programs

I am interested in applying for summer research positions at various Universities this summer, however, the majority of them require 2 LORs. I have a LOR from a doctor I did research with last summer, but I am unsure where I am going to get my second letter from. I am only a sophomore and really haven't been making an effort to get to know my professors that well, seeing that the majority of my classes have 100+ students in them. That being said, I would feel uncomfortable asking for a LOR from them because the only criteria they would have is that I made an A in the class. Some of the applications I have looked at ask for a letter from undergraduate teachers/college advisors. Even through I don't know my chemistry advisor that well, would it be worth it to ask him for a LOR that strictly talks about my transcript?

I am at a loss here...

Maybe you could ask one of the lab TAs (Chem or Bio) that you've connected with to write the letter and have it co-signed by the professor that doesn't know you very well.
