I was getting a LOR from a consultant today and I was wondering if will be ok to use. It's wasn't all that long (3 paragraphs); it was very nice, but I wonder if it'll be enough. I guess I am wondering what qualifies as a stellar LOR. Should they be long?? Maybe I am just paranoid.

Any thoughts?

Were you on the colsultant's service? If not I wouldn't use it. A good letter is one from someone who has worked with you for a substantial period of time. At 3 paragraphs I doubt that this person could convey that level of understanding of you as a physician.
