LOR's

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
my premed office req'd a list of all of the activities you had done from high school to the present - more or less an extended resume, so i gave them that. i know all of my LOR writers well, so i also just chatted with them a bit about my motivations, yadda yadda yadda

My personal statement and two websites that give advice for letter writers.

Does anyone think it would seem rude if I were to include a couple print outs with suggestions on how to write a Med school LOR?

Not rude, but unnecessary. Your professors have written tons of letters, and, in all honesty, a lot of it will probably be recycled.

I provided my professors with a "resume" thing that I made on the computer. It is basically just a glorified transcript. It lists all of my grades, as well as extracurricular activities. It also has a photo on it. I got all of my letters before my personal statement had been written, so I didn't give my professors a copy, but it's not a bad idea. In fact, some of the people I requested letters from wanted my personal statement (so I couldn't get a letter from them). Both of the humanities professors that I requested a letter from wanted copies of papers that I had written for their course (I guess to comment on my writing style in the letter).

Yes, the more drunk they are while they write your LOR, the better!
