Ive heard from some people that if you do research you should include a LOR from the professor you worked with.. Is this necessary? Ive done research for a year but have never worked with the actual professor of the lab (he is the dean of biology so he doesnt have time). I have worked with a phd student and a lady that has a permanent position in the lab. Should I ask one of them to write a letter?
