In the process of pressing submit. If a program ask for 2 letters, do you still submit 3 or just give them the 2 they want?? Any thoughts???

Also, does anyone have any feeling for what letters programs want? I have a bunch of OB letters (from people who know me really well and big names) and one medicine letter (from the PD where I did my sub-I, not someone who knows me super well). Do people think I should bother throwing that medicine letter in for contrast or just stick with all OB?

Thanks!

I sent four letters - OBGYN dept. chairman, OBGYN residency prgm director, OBGYN clerkship director, research PI letter who was IM doc. If they required 2 or 3 I picked the chairman's letter, prgm director letter and/or the research letter.

You should get at least two OB letters. Most programs require a letter from your Chair but not all of them. Most programs note on their website what letters they require.
