Is anyone else following the tug-of-war between the University of California (w/Bechtel) and the University of Texas (w/Lockheed Martin) for Los Alamos National Lab?
It's part of a recent industrialization/privatization of the national labs. Does this really matter to MD/PhDs? (ie. Battelle now controls Idaho National Lab)
The decision to award the lab management to either school and their corporate partners is due within the next two days.
