Has anyone had their application fee check "lost" by the school, if so, which one?

A couple of schools told me they had not received my check even though they had cashed them. Don't know if this puts me behind in the queue to have my app reviewed. I straightened them out, but perhaps the damage is done?

I emailed the University of Michigan to ask about my application status and they said they never received my fee even though i sent it back in July!! But the email said just to get a copy of the cashed check from the bank and fax it to them. So now i gotta wait for that copy to come via snail mail and then fax it off. OH, the things we must do....

always send things w/ a return receipt...it costs a few dollars extra than a 41cent stamp but it saves a lot of heart ache...

I agree. Except I go the extra step and send mine DHL which will show me who signed for it online. 😱

yea.. I just found out yesterday that one of the schools I applied to hasn't received my check... which I sent in July. I really should get on that.

yea- with interviews already being sent out I wish I had checked that sooner.
