I have a few questions regarding prereqs... I graduated from University of Delaware in May, moved to Florida and am now considering Optometry School. However, I need to take Physics and O-chem before i can apply. So...
1. If i take them at a community college is it okay to ask those teachers for letters of rec since i'm out of contact with my undergrad institution??
2. The OAT - if i buy the Kaplan book is that enough ?? or is the class necessary?
3. Can anyone tell me what they thought about NOVA??
thanks

I asked a community college prof for a letter.. then read what she wrote. She wrote a very nice letter but had the WORST grammar I had ever seen !! So, I never sent it. But, overall, I think a letter from a CC would help show what kind of motivated student you are now vs what you were in undergrad.

I used the Kaplan MCAT books to study for the OAT since most of the OAT is basically an easier version of the MCAT. You can actually buy Kaplan OAT books without the course now? Anyways, I think the course would be a waste of money. I would just study the books and take a practice test or 2. You'll be fine.
