I saw a couple of people on pre dents with lower GPA's who got in. I remember seeing someone with like a 2.9 and a 19AA who got accepted, but I don't remember who it was and too which school. I would say if your DAT is pretty strong even with a lower GPA you should be fine. Focus on schools that favor high DAT's, assuming this applies.
Oh, and the persons science GPA wasn't much higher at all, definatly not over 3.1. Every year a number of people get accepted with a GPA like the one mentioned. Just focus on the other details, DAT is important and so is EC's and the personal statement.
