low GPA Canadian applying to US

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
The best way to know your chances would be to contact the specific schools you are considering applying to and ask them to let you know if you are considered a strong applicant, as well as ways to enhance your application. It may be necessary to take a few more classes to try to improve your GPA. Getting a high DAT score would definitely help make your application stronger!

You definitely have a chance, as long as you do well on the DAT. Keep in mind dental schools try to look at you holistically and will also look at other aspects of your application such as shadowing experience, extracurricular activities, awards, research and etc. So you might want to focus on those parts of your application in your free time after taking the DAT. Good luck!

Great advice! I agree with Daniel Schruth too, it is always best to contact the schools directly, they can guide you in the right direction.
Maryaam....keep us posted and wishing you the best.
