I'm currently in my second year of my undergrad. My major is bio and gpa ~ 3.3. However I have been working as a pt aide for 2 years ( 2000+ hours) and plan on staying for the next 2 years. Also planning to start working in acute and neuro to see all options. The director of the rehab department offered to write me a letter and a pt that teaches for the pt school have also offered to write me a letter. What do you think my chances are for getting into a pt program? Thanks.

Since you are a sophomore, make sure that you get A's in all the rest your science and math classes as well as your last 60 hours, do well on the GRE and get varied clinical experience, in patient and out patient.

Good luck, and concentrate on the studies, depending on the school, they only require minimum hours, and it makes no difference if you have 300 or 3000 to them.

There are schools that calculate your GPA based on the last 60 hours of your undergrad degree. Mizzou is one of them. Study hard, get good grades, rock the GRE and you'll have a leg up on most applicants becasue of your experience.
