I would like to apply to dental school however
I have a 2.8 undergraduate gpa in sociology with
all pre-reqs complete (also 2.8) I have little clinical
experience. I scored a 23/22/23 on the DAT. I cant
imagine repeating those premedical courses but would like
to improve my record. I am considering a special masters program? any ideas. What sort of DAT score could compensate if any for those grades?

ummmm are you kidding me? your score is superb and your grades aren't THAT BAD!!! you will get in my dear... have no fear. I have a similar gpa however I majored in Biochemistry from a top uni. and my DAT scores are also like yours in the 99th percentile....and so far i've gotten one interview (just took dats a few weeks ago...!) so don't worry....apply and you shall receive 😉

Great job on you DAT! I definitely think you got a good shot getting in somewhere. Just make sure you apply early to lots of schools. I got in somewhere with comparable stats. Good luck!

Your scores are good enough that you would likely get in................had you applied in August. You are so late in the application cycle that I don't know if AADSAS could process you application soon enough, and if so, most schools will have their roster filled by the time your interview would come around. But if you apply early next year (June/July) there is no doubt in my mind that you will get in. Good luck.
