Would it look bad if I take a few lower-division non-science classes as a junior and senior? I was planning on taking a few courses I find interesting such as Spanish language or earthquakes to fill my schedule, but the course number designates them as lower-division classes. I am still going to take upper-division science classes, so would this be fine, or should I find upper-division non-science classes?

You can't build if you don't have a foundation. Obviously, unless you have a strong background in a topic area, you need the intro course before you start taking something like "Spanish poets of the revolution" that is taught entirely in Spanish! Just avoid taking a bunch of easy courses to boost your GPA. I still remember the guy who took Human Sexuality, Golf, and Introduction to Wine all in the same semester. ;)
