Lower GPA + Admission problems

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I was wondering if someone could help me. I have a 2.8 GPA and I am finished with my bachelors degree. I was wondering if I could get into pharmacy school. I have been taking classes to give me GPA a boost and Im thinking of re-applying for next August. I am 26 years old and I kind of feel that my time is running out. Any advice?

Did you take the PCAT yet? Take it and do well. Get A's in the other classes you still have. Try and break 3.0 if you can.

Since this topic is pre-pharmacy in nature, I am going to move this to the Pre-Pharmacy forum where admissions criteria is usually discussed. 👍

Yeah, take the PCAT and do well. Also, try to find some pharmacy experience whether it's volunteering or working in a hospital/community pharmacy. Don't worry about being 26, there are plenty of other people older than you trying to pursue the profession and age shouldn't be holding you back. You still have a chance, it may not be a great chance, but it's still possible.

Don't worry about feeling old...my gf goes to UOP pharm school and there is this one guy who is in his 50s in her class!!!!😱
Also, as one of the above posts said, do well in PCATs and also, apply very early in the admissions process.
Good luck!
