If I have a high masters GPA (3.7+) and a high DAT (24AA) but below a 3.4 undergraduate GPA. What schools are good to apply to? I know this has been asked the low GPA high DAT question but was wondering if there were any other schools then the ones previously talked about.

Midwestern University.. either of them. They are both very big programs and look at the whole application not just solely on the scores you have gotten.

Having a 3.4 isn't really that low. I think most schools put way more weight on DAT because it equalizes all students. Your 24AA will stand out at ANY dental school and 3.4 isn't terrible. Dental schools understand that there are many reasons that a persons GPA might be a slightly low. Maybe it was bad professors or bad times for you to take classes, or had many final exams on one day. The DAT is used to show what you've got and you killed it. Congrats!

what 4G said
and 3.7+ masters GPA is good too

I had the same DAT, and a 3.1 GPA. Got into 2 schools. Don't apply to the Midwesterns like the poster mentioned above -- why would you want to be $400K+ in debt when, with your stats, you can get into much cheaper schools!? Apply to ones that are cheap, and/or offer in state tuition after a year. You have a decent GPA, a great DAT. You're going to get into 4+ schools, there is no worries here.

Thank you! May I ask where you got in?

The DAT score is the most important because it's standardized. It doesn't matter what school, course, or professor you had -- the DAT is consistent among everyone.

That being said, the uptrend in your GPA shows that your capable of competing in the more academically rigorous programs, so I'd recommend to apply broad.

Apply to a fair share of "reach" schools, some "target" schools and some "safety" schools because of your situation.

thank you so much for the advice!

I think many schools will send you an interview invitation provided you have good PS, good amount of Shadowing + Volunteering and extra stuff
But you need to apply to 10-15 schools.

You have a good DAT score and on top of that you have a Masters/Master’s GPA. Apply to cheap schools. I would limit yourself to no more than 2 private schools
