Loyola Psy. D. Interview Info?

Hi everyone, I have an interview at Loyola in 2 weeks and was wondering if anyone out there has interviewed at Loyola in the past and would be willing to give me some idea of what to expect?

Also, I've been doing research on the program, but I was hoping some former or current grad students could tell me what they thought of Loyola.

I interviewed 2 years ago.....I just remember that it was a very long day....multiple interviews with faculty and current students, so make sure you have enough information about their program and faculty, about yourself and why you might be a good match, questions for interviewers, and energy. Also, they made the decision at the end of the day while us interviewees were being taken to the reception/tour at their clinic off-campus. I believe that acceptance decisions were emailed by Tuesday the next week and I think rejections were mailed.

Wow, that's a lot of pressure. I've been researching the program online, looking up papers published by my POIs, looking up potential interview questions, and trying to think of questions to ask profs and students. Is there anything else I should do to prepare for what looks to be a ridiculously intensive day?

I don't remember it being that stressful. I really enjoyed meeting the various faculty members, talking with current grad students, etc. I lived ~15 minutes from the campus, so the campus tour wasn't anything new....but it is in a beautiful area of MD.

Thanks for all the help guys. The interviews went really well; they were a lot less stressful than I thought it was going to be. There were a total of 6 interviews (3 with faculty, 3 with two or more grad students) and they were more casual conversation about my life and general interests than the grilling about research interests, academic merit, etc... that I thought they were going to be.

Anyway, I just got the call today, I got in with a partial scholarship!
