Loyola Stritch
Pros
FIU HWCOM
Pros
Pros
Summary: Loyola made a great impression on me on my interview day, loved talking to the students and the faculty. FIU HWCOM is a solid school and close to my support system. MSUCOM gave me a scholarship that significantly reduced my cost of attendance. All of the schools have similar missions which align to mine. Not completely sure of my specialty, but I am leaning heavily towards primary care/community medicine.
EDIT: The total cost difference between FIU and Loyola would be 60,000$
Pros
- More established/well known/higher rank
- Love the focus on social justice
- Medical Spanish elective
- Students seem happier/ felt the best on interview day
- best job opportunities for significant other
- Best clinical opportunities/ academic center
- $62,000 more expensive than FIU
- Out of state/ far from a support system
- Weather
- Will need a new vehicle
