Is anybody else still waiting on their LSU interview invitation? I got the email saying that they are interviewing in February but I am dying over here waiting for my date!!! :scared:
 
I received an invitation invite via e-mail on Jan. 12. My interview is Feb.3, the same day as their open house. The e-mail made it sound like these interviews were only for Arkansas residents, so maybe don't worry if you're not an Arkansas resident.
 
cla1203--are you a Louisiana resident? Because I'm not, but I never got an email--did the email have any other info besides when they were interviewing?

Yes I am a Louisiana resident. The email that I received was on 1/4/07 and it said basically that they received my application... fall '06 transcripts need to be in by 1/15/07...Admissions decisions will be made in March...non-residents (other than Arkansas) are not interviewed... keep checking email. I have not heard anything about my own interview though. 🙁
 
Oh, yeah. Forgot that the only out of state people they interview are Arkansas residents. So don't worry if you don't get anything Frisky, you're not supposed to. If you're worried you can always e-mail [email protected] or call. The Jared fellow that works there is a nice guy.
 
Nah, I don't want to bug them... I am sure I am not the only one out there waiting for an interview but at least posting on here is making the wait easier to bear. 🙂
 
Last year, Arkansas residents were interviewed about 2 weeks before residents were. My interview (I'm an LA resident) was on Feb 14th, so you can probably expect yours to be around the same time, cla1203.

The waiting game's no fun... but if you guys have any questions about the school in the mean time I'd be happy to answer them. Oh, and good-luck with your interviews! 🙂
 
Thank you, that eases my mind alot. I received an email from them yesterday saying they received my fall '06 transcripts, so they are keeping me in the loop which also helps alot! It may be a year late but congrats on getting in, I hope to see you there next year 😀
 
I am out of state, so there will be no interview for me, it is hard to tell where I stand with them. I did get a e-mail yesterday saying that they got my Fall transcripts. Does anybody know if they send out rejection letters?
 
Hm, I know they've sent out letters in the past- but they're doing much more by e-mail this year. (When I was notified that they received my application, fall transcripts, interview date+time, it was done via postcards) so I can't say for sure. I do know, however, that all notifications were mailed out by the end of March (with those from Arkansas being the first to be notified).

It is... 9am- 4pm, I believe. Some of the activities we have planned are aimed at kids, but it really is the best time to get a tour of the school- especially if you are applying there. Not to mention, student's set-up and run the various areas, so if you want to ask questions of students- you'll have plenty of opportunity to do so. 🙂
 
Kids? Do you think it is something my 2 year old would like? I would love for her to see where mommy might be going to school! 😀
 
Oh, definitely! There will be face painting, a bone dig (read: a giant sand box), and lots of other fun activities. However, we will have a few preserved animals on display- but as long as you think she can handle that- then definitely bring her. 🙂

Just an update - I received a card in the mail today, informing me of my vital stats being used for calculating admissions scores; Required course GPA, Last 45 hour GPA, and GRE score

Now only a few more months to wait!
 
Yea, I got the same thing.... Every time I receive anything from them I swear my heart stops!!! The next thing better be an interview request or I might just drop dead! 😛

I received a letter snail mail inviting me for an interview on Feb 13th at LSU.
 
does lsu interview out of state applicants??
 
No, LSU doesn't interview out-of-state applicants, except for Arkansas, I believe.
 
Yep, only Arkansas Residents. And it's snowing up here! Hope it doesn't get to bad so I can leave Friday morning. 10 hour drive. I'll do homework.

I got an e-mail last week saying that they have finished interviewing in-staters and that they now have to look at everyones applications. They will let us know in march. Anyone heard anything different?

I got that e-mail... i LOVE that they sent us something with the status of their admissions process rather that leaving us wondering...
 
It will probably be mid march at the earliest. Don't fret! I saw in the rejections thread someone got an lsu rejection recently. No news is good news right now.:luck:
 
last year acceptances were sent out before spring break, which would be in 2 weeks so I'm expecting to hear this week or early next week
 
Just FYI for all those waiting... I received my letter last year on the 20th of March... but letters had just been put together that day, and I picked mine up from the school (eager, much? :laugh:). A couple days delay in the mail, at least... so in-staters can probably expect something around this time. A friend of mine from Arkansas received his about 2 weeks earlier... I have no idea when the rest of the out-of-staters received theirs.

I'm glad they are sending out e-mails this year... I never got one, and the wait was torture! Anyway, best of luck everyone!
 
I just got an email saying they are still deciding and should be sending out letters in the next two to three weeks.... I guess this is "crunch time!!" 😉
 
I just got a call from LSU and I'm in...and she said letters are going out soon! so be on the look-out!

I think Arkansas is considered a contract state because LSU actually does interviews.....so might be in a separate pool then out-of-staters.

Does anybody know if they are calling any Lousisana residents or only sending out letters?
 
A friend of mine recieved a rejection later in the mail a couple days ago, we're out of state, for now I guess no news is good news? I'm so nervous b/c this is my last chance for an acceptance from a school in the states! I don't know if I can take another waitlist (or rejection)!
 
They sent out emails saying that we could go pick up the letters and that they would be sending them out Wednesday morning.. so be on the lookout soon!
 
Should I be worried that I haven't heard anything from LSU through emails? Ya'll seem to be getting them, but I haven't heard a peep. I haven't gotten a rejection letter yet either though.😕
 
That e-mail was probably just for the people who already go to LSU and can pick of their letters from the school so they dont have to wait for snail mail. I didn't get an e-mail, but I'm assuming it's b/c they don't expect me to hop in my car and drive to LSU from PA. Good luck everyone who's picking up today, make sure to tell us the good news! In the meantime I am :scared:

You can always call or e-mail them.

I received my letter today (Arkansas Resident)
 
Received my acceptance letter to LSU today (out-of-state FL applicant)! Since I could only afford to apply to 3 schools, it's nice knowing at least 1 worked out. UF is the last one I'm waiting to hear about.
 
Congrats to all!!!

I was VERY suprised to find I was accepted! Does anyone have any input about the school? Likes/Dislikes? I feel at a disadvantage in not having been there! (i'm going to see if I can somehow dig up enough money to go visit, but I just don't know if it's possible, so any thoughts would be awesome!)
