It is different from submandibular space infection. Don't make confusing.
All lymphatics of head and neck are extracranial.
No lymphatics associated with CNS.
Lymph vessels draining the skin and subcutaneous tissue follow pathways independent of nearby blood vessels.
Above the neck they will drain to the deep cervical nodes of superficial lymphatic drainage. They receive all lymphatic drainage from Head & Neck, deep to sternomastoid, along internal jugular vein.
All structures superior to the clavicle drain to this chain of lymph nodes.

is funny how they try to confuse us, but ok, SUBMANDIBULAR lymph Nodes: located between the submandibular gland and the mandible, receives Lymph from the front of the scalp, the nose and adjacent cheek; the upper lip and lower lip except the center part; the paranasal sinuses; the MAXILLARY and MANDIBULAR TEETH (except the mandibular incisor because is by submental lymph nodes) until the floor of the mouth and vestibule; and the gingiva, them the efferent lymph vessels will be DRAINING INTO THE DEEP CERVICAL LYMPH NODES BUT initially WILL BE SUBMANDIBULAR be careful with this kind of questions because in the exam if you think like that ..... is bad. you have to be cool: first, think what are they asking? and then answer in your mind; read the given answers if they match with your own answer then look no further.
