Do plants have lysosomes?
I was doing Bio destroyer and one of the questions (#288) said that lysosomes are found in both plant and animal cells.
Cliffs AP bio says that plants don't have lysosomes.

Which one is correct and which one do I use for the DAT?

😕

plant having lysosome is still in debate
some people say that the vacuole in the plant is considered as lysosome
or some say no

any ambiguous topic would not appear on the real test so I won't worry.
Personally when I took DAT, I hadn't any plant problems.

Yeah the majority of books say no but like the person above said it definitely wouldn't be on the DAT

actually, I found a paper that supported that plants do have lysosomes. Search the forum for "Biology notes (cliff and Kaplan)" If you study it well, you should at least get 23.
