Hi everyone. So I failed my end of the year M3 OSCE and I'm freaking out about it. Everyone 1 SD under the mean failed so about 16% of the class. On my transcripts its says Unsatisfactory and Passed with Remediation. All my grades and evals have been good and I did well on Step 1. Am I totally screwed for residency apps now?

Do other med schools reports M3 OSCE grades on their transcripts or are there just individual clerkship OSCEs that get factored into the final clerkship grades?

How does it affect your rank? Is it listed on your MSPE? Ridiculous that someone HAS to fail the OSCE no matter what.

At my institution we can retake OSCEs/shelf exams once without any substantive penalty beyond "you won't get honors." I imagine the particular policies in place will vary between rotations and institutions.

This. Strong understanding of statistics by whatever dingbat thought that grading policy was fair.
