What is the best one? I just got a MBA and am looking to use it as much as possible in class.

One thing I really need/want it for is to be able to sketch out drawings...like for example if I want to draw out a molecule (sort of like how a stylus on ipad could do it, or like how they draw stuff on Khan Academy)

I know I'd use the mouse and all but that's fine. Any apps like this? I've heard Evernote is good for notes, but not sure if it has this feature.

Thanks! Oh and free is better lol

Microsoft Word or Google Drive both allow you to insert freestyle drawings. Google Drive is nice because you can access the notes from any computer with internet. You really don't need a fancy app in order to do what you want to do.

I'm not terribly familiar with the onenote platform for macs, but I have it for PC and I LOVE it. You can print powerpoints, notes straight to onenote as print outs and draw or type over them which is way easier than physically printing them out for each class. It's also super convenient for organizing things... I have different "notebooks" for each semester, different "tabs" for different classes and all the pages for each class under those tabs. You can definitely draw on it very easy, on the main tool bar there's a whole section along with file, view, insert etc that's dedicated to drawing and highlighting tools.

I'm trying to find freestyle drawing on these....don't see where to go. Insert drawing only allows me to use lines and shapes and what not... Any idea?

and thanks airabuyu13, will take a look at that app for mac!

and I guess a better way to explain what I mean is that some sort of a "Microsoft Paint" feature but obviously more advanced lol

The freestyle drawing is called a "scribble." On Drive, go to Insert > Drawing, then click the drop down arrow next to the line button. Scribble is at the bottom and it allows you to draw whatever you want. Pretty sure it's a similar thing on Word, I've just been using Drive for the past couple years.

Wow! Thanks so much, that's exactly what I need. I use GD a lot already so will be nice to just take notes on documents there. Now to master this stuff so I can use it efficiently 😀
