I have to the option to take either to fulfill my prerequisites. Do any of you have a recommendation as to which I should take? Is either one more or less conceptually difficult than the other? Is either one likely to have a lighter workload?

Somebody in the thread titled "MACROECONOMICS" recommended that Macro be taken before Micro, is this true?

Thanks for any help.

yes take Macro. If you go to a liberal arts college, the prerequisites for graduation at your college should be very good at guiding you.

The are both common sense stuff and are pretty easy. It was one of those classes where I just went to class, did no studying, took the tests from my memory of lectures, and got an "A". Don't worry about it too much.

I heard that microeconomics was harder than macroeconomics. I took both micro and macro in high school and I found this to be true. For pre-pharm, I took microeconomics because the school wouldn't let me take macro if I didn't take micro first. Microeconomics was difficult for me, but if you work the problems and read the text, it should be fine. I would take macro over micro though.

macro at a community college is an easy A

NO IT'S NOT!! 😡 I had a horrible teacher and barely made a C!!! Depends on who you have. However I had a great teacher for Micro and THAT was an easy A!!!! 🙂

I took micro without having ever taken macro. I found micro to be easy but I also had a professor who the day before every test told us exactly what would be on the test and worked out those specific problems. As for workload that probably depends on the professor.
