Just bought me a Magic Mouse. Loving it. Though you might need Mousezoom (free) to get it tracking with sufficient speed if you have Snow Leopard.

Anyone else get one? I just found out about it today since my mouse crapped out on me yesterday.

What do you mean scrolling with sufficient speed? I haven't had any problems whatsoever scrolling fast enough. In fact, sometimes it gets too fast.

I guess just personal preferences...

I actually meant "tracking" rather than scrolling. However, that may not be where our difference of opinions lie.

Let me ask you this: Did you install the Magic Mouse 1.0 software?

Because before I installed it, I just went to Mouse in Sys Pref, and I was able to make the tracking speed entirely WAYYYYYY too fast.

However, after I installed the software and restarted the computer, I got the updated Mouse Sys Pref menu that looks like this:

Once I had this menu (as opposed to the one before the software install), even with Tracking all the way to the right (fastest), it took several swipes to get across the screen (as complained by other users on many forums). I saw that some people had success with Mousezoom, so I got that and turned up the speed in there. Problem solved.

Multitouch is awesome and a natural transition after the iPhone and touch flow integration into the Macbook. My big gripe is it does not track on a glass surface and the tracking does seem a little more hesitant than other devices. Although, the later is a small gripe.

So, I say a good first attempt that could be great with updates. This is a good upgrade if you have a basic mouse; however, if you have a high performance mouse with faster tracking and the ability to work on nearly any surface such as the Logitech Performance MX, I would not see the Magic Mouse as an upgrade.

I think I agree with all of this. But the potential for it to be perfect/great with updates outweighed the idea of dropping at least $50 on another good Logitech. I'm happy with my decision thus far, but even with Mousezoom it doesn't track fast enough unless you accelerate the movement. I'd prefer faster tracking at a constant input speed.

Just got me a magic mouse yesterday... and I love you. You really should use BetterTouchTool, sorta like mousezoom but allows for vastly most configuration options than the default OS X has.

Can't believe I almost didn't get one... I love this thing

I didnt know we were so close... ;)

Yeah I still love mine too. Everyone that uses my Mac goes all  over it , but then they're like :( and start yelling about how you can't use Apple hardware on PCs.

I'll check out that program. Your link doesn't work though.
