Hi all. I had the committee to do my letter-sending last year, but since I waited until I got all my decisions back (2 waitlists is all I have to count on) to worry about reapplying, I might have missed the reapplicant deadline. Yeah, I know, big mistake. Just in case I end up having to do all the letter-sending on my own, instead of having it uplaoded to virtual evals by my committee, how the heck do you go about doing that? do you have your recommenders print out as many copies as schools you are applying to, or do you have them just send it to amcas?

Thanks... I can't believe how much of applying is still a mystery to me after already going thru it once, hah.

You open an account with Interfolio. You ask your committee to send all of the letters they have to interfolio. When you open your interfolio acct there will be clear instructions for sending letters to your acct and how to send them to schools.

Many committees will refuse to send your committee letter to interfolio--they will only send the individual letters. If you have no committee letter and aren't 2+ years out of school, there will be some med schools that won't accept your application and/or for which you need to write an explanation (spun as far as possible away from "i missed the deadline") regarding your lack of committee letter.

thanks for the info. in that case i hope they will be willing to send out my LORs... or I guess I need to wait another year which im not gonna be too happy to do... lol
