Verbal is very hit and miss for me. If I am calm and on time to finish, I generally do fairly well. If I start to fall behind, I completely lose it and can't absorb what I'm reading anymore. I also try to rush to make up for the lost time, which doesn't help any.

Does anyone have any suggestions for dealing with this?

I know i keep compulsively looking at the clock, which makes me freak out. I dont know if you do this, but ive recently found that only looking at the clock every three or four passages makes me more calm.

I have the same problem sometimes ....
Try not focusing on the time so much (i.e. dont look at your watch after each passage..) Some passages will take you way longer than others and if you freak out because you devoted too muchtime to one difficult passage then you are not helping yourself.. maybe try checking your progress at the halfway point to see where you`re at with regards to the section as a whole...
There is nothing worse than going too fast on verbal. Youre much better off completely missing a passage & guessing then skimming over the last 4-5 passages and doing them half-assed.

ask ur relatives/friends to press the spot that hurts u the most for 10min a day til sat, kinda like massage but u simply just press/release/press, etc

see if it helps

ive noticed that i get ansy during verbal and i start stretching. a couple of times during practice tests ive taken off my shoes and started massaging my feet.

i should probably try harder to stay focused on saturday.
