Maintaining pharmacist salaries in CA

I registered to hopefully raise awareness to this issue.

We know that the California is saturated with pharmacists, and with more pharmacy schools, we expect things to get worse.

Nursing has been saturated for a few years now in Northern California, but their pay has continued to skyrocket, well beyond pharmacists in many cases. If you don't believe me, and you or a friend works for KP, look up their labor contract in myhr (you don't have to be a nurse to see their pay schedule). Compare it to the pharmacist contract for a sobering realization.

Pharmacists are a quiet mousey people that take whatever is offered to them. Our profession is being dictated by our employers, and I hope that the new generation of pharmacists don't take any of this crap. Please take ownership of your profession and help to advance it; not only with our service, but also with appropriate compensation.

Well, its hard to do individually. If we were unionized we wouldn't have these issues.

Basic rule of demand vs supply. All we really need is creating less pharmacists.

I think as individual pharmacists, the best we can do is to sabotage the new pharmacists until either they kill patients and get sued and financially ruined as a result or until their licenses got revoked by a pharmacy board. This will help intimidate people from entering the field, and, therefore, supply will be placed in check.

Or could lobby the state board to require NAPLEX score of >100. Supply issue solved. People who try to get rich via all Cs at a diploma mill will love the huge student loans they are stuck with.
