Hey,

I am going to be a senior. I am majoring in Nutrition and Food Science. My question is whether or not I should get a Biochemistry Minor. I only need to take Biochem 1 and 2 next year (my last year). The teacher is very bad and the two classes are very hard so I probably will not do great. My GPA is currently 3.64.

Basically my question is rather to get a higher GPA or a slightly lower GPA but a Biochemistry minor. What would look better on a medical school application?

Thanks for any help,
Rob

Only take a biochem class for the mcat and because the schools you're applying to requires it. If not, dont take it. A minor is NOTHING to medical school adcoms. They look pretty on your transcript and make you sound smart but it will not help you get in.

You don't really need biochem for the MCAT. Avoid biochem at your school completely if at all possible, unless a school you're applying to requires it. A minor is the most meaningless thing to ever exist.
