Reading some conflicting information about this online, so just wanted to clarify. The major stimulus for macula densa stimulation of renin secretion is decreased sodium osmolarity reaching the distal convulated tubule, correct? As opposed to urine flow at the point the tubule. And conversely, the major stimulus for direct renin secretion from afferent arterioles is decreased blood pressure at the afferent arteriole?

Finally, vasopressin is stimluated mainly be increase osmolarity, and only responds to decrease blood volume after serious blood loss?
