I will be graduating from residency next June, and I plan on moonlighting in addition to my regular daytime salaried position at that time.

Can anyone comment on how expensive and how difficult (in general terms) it is to get malpractice insurance as a newly graduated psychiatrist?

Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.
 
Why would it be difficult? I am getting a decent price even as a PGY-4. Cost ultimately depends on the location, type of work and hours. I went with a company local to my region/state rather than a national company and actually got a better price.
