Does anyone know how much the EM physician pays in malpractice insurance across the country or in your neck of the woods?

i don't know how much my buddy who's an EM attending at one of the major hospitals in the phoenix area pays, but he said his doubled from one year to the next and he's never had a case brought against him.

Does anyone know how much the EM physician pays in malpractice insurance across the country or in your neck of the woods?

In Florida, malpractice for EPs just last year ranged from high 5 digits to somewhat above $100K per year. The average malpractice for EPs in Florida ran third to obstetrics and neurosurgery. It is thankfully not anywhere near that high in California, though it is rising nonetheless.
