I feel all ya'll that are matching soon and all your energy is geared towards the match.

I wish all of you the best!

The bummer concerning SDN is that the doctors (and 2B doctors) that I, Noy, Cop et al reach out to seem to fall into oblivion until after March 11th, or whenever match day is.

I've been outta the match game quite a while so I'll just sit back until the match is over when the threads arent geared so mutch about the match.

Resultantly, I probably won't post alot until April.

Hell, my poker game is at an all time high.....Mardi Gras brings alotta Phil Helmuth Wannabes to the Crescent City, and to date

I've been cashing in.

I'm gonna contribute my time more to my profit poker game and the rest of my life as a PP anesthesiologist.

See ya'll in April.

I would've thought there would be more posts since people have nothing to do but twiddle their thumbs.

I'm one of the MS4's causing the problem, but I remember the last 3 years of posts that dominated SDN's most popular forum from Oct - March.

You're a mod, my friend! Why not create a Residency Related forum, like the Club or the ITE forum? That's where you post about interview invites/reviews/rank lists/etc. Leave the rest of the big forum for the other stuff? No?

Although that is a great idea I think the problem is that when MS ask for advice, they hope attendings or residents respond. If there is a sub-forum, we all know the attendings/residents will avoid it like the plague. It would probably result in a bunch of MS's giving other MS's advice.. Not that this doesn't happen already, but residents and attendings still chime in here and there.

I tried keeping most of my ERAS app, match questions not related to anesthesia in the ERAS forum.

THe bright side... next week, rank lists will be finalized and no one will be able to change their fate. A lot of those match threads will start disappearing and the hilarity of the famous Anesthesia forum will ensue.

The last thing we need is another subforum.

I feel you, Jet, but it's a mixed blessing. I remember as an MS4 checking this site plus my ERAS acct multiple times daily, wanting to know when others got invites, etc.

I agree there seems to be a proliferation of "tell me how to arrange my rank list" threads this year, but i also think it's a nice way to attract the newbies, and hopefully they'll stick around when they're residents to add to the clinical discussions.

On another note, the past week or so I have googled a few different topics relevant to my cases such as "lidocaine allergy" or "scoliosis fusion epidural". I am proud to say that hits for SDN came up in the top three or so for each of those, with pretty good clinical discussions. I still think this forum contributes greatly to my education, both clinically and politically.

Just chronology.😀

Now that's true. I first came across this forum as a pre-med, just happy to see that there were folks that were interested in medicine, and that there were interesting people IN medicine. The anesthesia forum has been a great guide, and I do admit a bit of glee that I'm now the one that is looking for advice about where to go and what to do.

I really can't wait until I get to post from an attending's point of view!

And RxBoy: great point.

I don't see a sticky on "Rank List" maybe there should be one.

How about this: If you have 10 interviews rank them 1 thru 10. 1 being the place you want to go most and 10 being the place you want to go least.

This should clear up all the fuss.

I know what your problem is Jet.

All this match **** makes you feel old.

Just like me.

I love it.👍

My new trick is called the Houdini. It's where you come into a turn hard, kick up a huge wall to powder smoke, and then point an shoot right through it riding switch. From downhill it looks like you are appearing from nowhere right out of a cloud.
