Mandatory Senior Experience: Is It *Really* an Internship?

As I'd imagine is like most undergrad unis, my undergrad incorporates a required senior experience/capstone internship* that averages around 6 (3-12) credits during your final semester. Because I will receive class credit for the internship and it is considered an upper division course, will this be considered just a mandatory upper division course or classified as an internship in ADCOM's eyes? Ultimately, should I consider completing another internship beforehand? Noted that the senior internship won't be complete by applications.

*Internship specifics are TBD as I have an individualized major and am constructing it this summer semester, so my options are pretty open regarding where and who I intern under.

This is no different than a credit course for research or engineering design.

Put it down as an AMCAS activity and make sure you clear state that you got credit for it (for the sake of transparency). Then move on to listing the next activity.

If adcoms would not have considered a capstone internship anything more than a upper division course, I would have completed a clinical based internship before the capstone and focused the capstone on healthcare management/finance, which I'm also studying
